"Mermaid Swim" is a dedicated time for participants to wear a mermaid tail and monofin under the supervision of a staff "mermaid leader". Lifeguards are also present to ensure the safety of all participants. 

Tails and their corresponding monofins are provided by the pool and are included with the flat fee for this program. Tails are available in all different colors. Sizes range from children's sizes 6-12. 

More experienced "mermaids" must pass a quick skills test and safety orientation that enables them to swim in the main pool with their tails on.

Younger swimmers who do not yet possess the skills to safely swim in deeper water with their tails on may utilize the wading pool, which is only about 1' deep, during this time. 

A parent is allowed to swim with their mermaid if they wish. A regular admission rate of $3 applies in this situation. We prefer that additional family members not be present in the water during this time so that lifeguards can focus directly on the safety of the mermaid participants.
